TTT1838 October 01 Disaster, Planning and Response

There is wisdom in that Boy Scout motto, “Be Prepared.” From extreme weather events to industrial accidents to violent attacks on people and institutions, disasters do occur right here in Minnesota. Who are the people and institutions planning the public response before the worst happens? What can citizens do before, during and after disaster strikes to respond to the crises?

To find out, TruthToTell talks with Eric Waage, director of the Hennepin County Office of Emergency Services, and Laura Millberg, who works on climate change mitigation planning with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Guests:

Eric Waage is director of the Hennepin County Office of Emergency Services.
