This is the third edition of the TruthToTell: Community Connections series, a 12-episode series of special TruthToTell programs looking at key issues facing various communities around the Twin Cities Metro and across Minnesota and produced live and on-location.

For this episode, recorded at the Goodwill/Easter Seals Headquarters in St. Paul, hosts Andy Driscoll and Michelle Alimoradi discuss issues that arise for ex-offenders as they try to re-enter their communities after incarceration, rehabilitation, or even as they remain in their communities shackled with excessive probation and parole sentences.

After a discussion among the panel of guests: Sarah Catherine Walker (Co-Chair, Second Chance Coalition), Mark Haase (Vice President, Council on Crime and Justice), Senator Dave Thompson (R-Lakeville, MN), and Rob Stewart (University of Minnesota Sociology Doctoral Program, currently serving out a felony probation sentence), Andy and Michelle open up the discussion to questions and comments from the live studio audience.

TruthToTell: Community Connections is a co-production of CivicMedia-Minnesota, KFAI Radio, and SPNN with major funding provided by The Bush Foundation.
