We are living in a time of media decentralization. People from many backgrounds and multiple versions of the “truth” are finding ways to be heard. What about communities of color? Are their stories being told? And if so, how and where? Journalist and educator Cirien Saadeh, joins TruthToTell to discuss what she calls, “journalism of color” and the intersection of journalism and social movements. Also joining the conversation is Kenzie O’Keefe, editor of North News, a local paper committed to raising up the experiences of North Minneapolis residents.
